Palestinian Development:

 

The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group (PHRMG)The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group (PHRMG) was founded in December 1996 in response to the deteriorating state of democracy and human rights under the newly established Palestinian Authority. The group was founded by a diverse group of well-established Palestinians, including Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) members, newspaper editors, journalists, a union leader, veteran human rights activists and religious leaders.

1.     The Palestinian Independent Commission for Citizens’ Rights (PICCR): PICCR is the first National Human Rights Institution in the Arab World. Its mandate is concentrated on ensuring respect for citizens' rights in Palestine through constantly striving to uphold respect for the rule of law by all official bodies.

2.     Jerusalem Media & Communication Centre (JMCC): JMCC was established in 1988 by a group of Palestinian journalists and researchers to provide information on events in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip.

3.     MA’AN Center: MA’AN’s mission is to work towards sustainable human development through: 
* The development of Palestinian human resources
* Institutional building
* Conducting developmental research
* Creating sustainable agricultural models

4.     PASSIA- Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs:  PASSIA is an Arab non-profit institution located in Jerusalem/Al-Quds with a financially and legally independent status. It is not affiliated with any government, political party or organization. PASSIA seeks to present the Palestinian Question in its national, Arab and international contexts through academic research, dialogue and publication.

5.     Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR)PSR programs and activities are organized through three units: the Domestic Politics Unit (DPU), the Strategic Analysis Unit (SAU), and the Survey Research Unit (SRU). These units conduct and organize four types of activities: research and policy analysis, empirical surveys and public opinion polls, task forces and study groups, and meetings and conferences.

6.     Muwatin, The Palestinian Institute for the Study of DemocracyMuwatin, The Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy, was founded in January 1992 to promote the study and development of democracy in Palestine and in the region.

8.      Ministry of Foreign Affairs:  This Ministry undertakes all the duties associated with a typical foreign ministry in a sovereign country, in the course of managing Palestine’s foreign relations that serves its national interests.

9.     Ministry of Finance: the ministry will be posting on this site the financial reports that pertain to each month within the first week of the following month.

10.  Ministery of National Economy: Vision Statement: To contribute to Palestinian national welfare by creating a highly supportive enabling environment for private sector development.

11.   Central Elections Commission (CEC): The CEC was established on October 27, 2002 as the supreme body responsible for the administration, conduct and supervision of the Palestinian Presidential and Legislative Elections pursuant to the Presidential Decree No 15 of 2002

14.  Palestinian National Information Center (PNIC)The PNIC is a mechanism of gathering, cataloging, categorizing and updating Palestine-related information in a way easier for handling via computer networks and Internet, that allow all information-producing institutions to contribute in, whether they are ministries, official institutions, universities, research centers or civil establishments, to feed the PNIC with information, each according to its field of interest.

15.  Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ): (ARIJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development in the occupied Palestinian territories and the self-reliance of the Palestinian people through greater control over their natural resources.

16.  Bisan Center for Research and Development: Bisan, is a non-for-profit organization pursuing comprehensive approach to development in Palestine. More specifically, it seeks to promote the formation and development of Palestinian civil society.

17.  Institute for Palestine StudiesThe Institute is devoted to a better understanding of the question of Palestine. Books in the Institute series are published in the interest of public information.

18.  Ministry of Planning: The Ministry of Planning endeavors to the attainment of development emanating from the collective human spirit and ideals in all areas of life in order to achieve progress.

26.  The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy, MIFTAHMIFTAH, is a non-governmental non-partisan Jerusalem-based institution dedicated to fostering democracy and good governance within Palestinian society through promoting public accountability.
